Post Your Adoptable FeLV/FIV/FIP - click to return to Website

I have had to make some changes to the list, a loser from India has been continuously spamming the list for the last 3 days and I have spent hours removing his ads and he immediately replaces them. You must activate your ad now and it must be approved by me to post. I will do this as quickly as I can. I apologize that this is necessary, once I see he has decided to leave I will put things back the way they were.

NO "FREE TO GOOD HOMES" ads allowed. Please read instructions below, thank you.

It's a good idea to always ask for a minimal fee/donation of 30.00 dollars for an animal you are trying to rehome. This helps to insure that the cat/kitten goes to a safe home. Therefore NO "FREE TO GOOD HOMES" ads will be allowed. AT THE VERY LEAST PUT NEGOTIABLE where it asks what the fee is. Please do not state in your ad that you are giving the cat/kitten away free. Thank you for observing this rule. Here a few good websites that clearly explain why this is very dangerous.

Please be sure all animals posted are spayed and/or neutered or will be before they are adopted out. We also have a FeLV/FIV/FIP Awareness Ring, please join us in spreading the word, "Purr For A Cure". To meet people with positive kitties, for great advice or support, please join our FeLV Talk List group or visit our FeLV Chat, hours of use vary, so there may or may not be anybody chatting. If you have any questions, or need help posting an ad, please contact Belinda. Comments welcome, so please sign our guestbook! We'd also really appreciate a vote for us in the Be-Mi-Kitties ... Ad Description
*Update 10/13/02 -- Nemera has been adopted by a wonderful couple with another FeLV positive feline family member. This Web site, and this post, made it possible for Nemera to live the life she so richly deserves, thank you so very much!!* Hi everyone, my name is Nemera (which stands for Leopard). I am a bronze Egyptian Mau mix with a long slender body & tail, huge ears, captivating copper eyes and spots everywhere! It has been a long, hard journey for me. You see, I was dumped in a tiny, cold cage at a very high kill shelter with my four babies. With each passing day I would watch as the others were ripped from their cages to never return again. We all knew what was happening, and sadly awaited our turn. I tried so hard to be brave and protect my little babies. Finally it was our turn -- but this was different, we were gently lifted from the cage one by one and placed upon a soft towel. Where was the big "box" that everyone gets thrown into, all together? Suddenly we were in a car driving away -- did we actually make it out of there alive? After a very long time we arrived at a home, and, even though we were still in a crate, I could sense the other kitties here and knew they were very happy as they ran by us playing with toys. I was so filled with joy that I did not even flinch when they put me on a table and stuck a needle in my leg -- I purred right through it! Not very long after that I knew something was terribly wrong. The nice ladies, who helped get us out of our tiny cell, were crying. What did I do wrong?? They held me, caressed my fur and, through their tears, told me how special and loving I am. We were then put into a room of our own and actually had lots to eat, clean water and toys of our own, was I ever happy!! How does a Mother explain to her children that they are going to die simply because my previous family thought it was too much trouble when they were born?? Now I know that I tested FeLV+. The people here have told me that they don't understand how I could be so perfectly healthy after childbirth AND living in a shelter for over a week. They say I am one in a million, and will have a new home one day (with a family who really loves me and will care for me no matter what). Oh boy, do I ever hope they are right. Could you be that person/family I need so badly?? I promise to be good, and will always be right there by your side to love and comfort you!! :)
